History

          Government ITI –Pudukkottai  was established in 1964 with six trades. Later Mechanic Motor vechile was introduced under World Bank aided Project. New Trades Namely Mechanic Diesel and Pump Operator Cum Mechanic  also introduced subsequently. This Institute plays a vital role to cater trained personals with optimum skills to the various central, state , public & private engg. Industries and technical Institutions situated in and around the district, state and the country.

      This Institute is located on Pudukkottai –Trichy main road, 4kms from pudukkottai bus-stand. To give hands/Shoulders to the young Craftsman Trainees after their successful completion of One/Two year Trainees have been sponsored  to the Various Industrial Organization for Apprenticeship Training  under App Act 1961. Most of the Trainees also absorbed as the regular employee in the organization itself.
