                                     Government ITI –Pudukkottai (Nodal ITI) was established in 1964. This Institute plays a vital role to cater trained personals with optimum skills to the various central, state , public & private engg. Industries and technical Institutions situated in and around the district, state and the country. Plenty of opportunities available for the  trainees who have successfully completed ITI Trades in the following department.

                 There are wide  opportunities for the ITI skilled Trainees .They are getting employment immediately after completion of the course and are selected in the campus interviews too. The reputed companies are visited our ITI frequently to recruit them for the needs in various disciplines.

History

          Government ITI –Pudukkottai  was established in 1964 with six trades. Later Mechanic Motor vechile was introduced under World Bank aided Project. New Trades Namely Mechanic Diesel and Pump Operator Cum Mechanic  also introduced subsequently. This Institute plays a vital role to cater trained personals with optimum skills to the various central, state , public & private engg. Industries and technical Institutions situated in and around the district, state and the country.

      This Institute is located on Pudukkottai –Trichy main road, 4kms from pudukkottai bus-stand. To give hands/Shoulders to the young Craftsman Trainees after their successful completion of One/Two year Trainees have been sponsored  to the Various Industrial Organization for Apprenticeship Training  under App Act 1961. Most of the Trainees also absorbed as the regular employee in the organization itself.
